Warranty Coverage

All refurbished PTAC units sold by PTACrefurb.com include a limited warranty covering proper operation at the time of delivery and during the warranty period described below.

Each unit is tested prior to shipment to ensure it is functioning as intended.

What This Warranty Covers

During the warranty period, this warranty covers:

  • Electrical failure

  • Compressor failure

  • Control board failure

  • Fan motor failure

  • Failure to cool or heat due to a covered mechanical or electrical issue

If a covered issue occurs, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the unit

  • Replace the unit with a comparable refurbished unit

  • Or issue a refund for the purchase price of the unit

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Noise-related complaints, including but not limited to:

    • Loud operation

    • Rattling

    • Vibration

    • Humming or operational sound levels

  • Cosmetic wear or minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with refurbished equipment

  • Improper installation or electrical supply issues

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, modification, or improper maintenance

  • Damage occurring after delivery or during installation

  • Normal wear and tear

Note: Refurbished PTAC units may produce normal operational sound levels that vary by installation and environment. Noise perception is subjective and is not considered a defect.

Warranty Period

The warranty period begins on the date of delivery and lasts for 365 days unless otherwise stated on the product page or invoice.

Shipping & Labor

  • This warranty covers the unit only

  • Labor, installation, removal, and freight costs are not covered unless explicitly stated in writing
