Every unit ships fully refurbished, bench-tested, and packed for freight from our facility in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Here is exactly how your PTAC gets to you, what it costs, and what to do the moment it arrives.

Where We Ship

East of the Mississippi

We ship directly to all U.S. states east of the Mississippi River, with fast freight out of Kentucky.

West of the Mississippi

We can still get a unit to you — just contact us for a shipping quote before ordering. Orders to these areas are confirmed once a shipping arrangement is agreed in writing.

Local to Middlesboro, KY? You are welcome to pick up your order in person — see Local Pickup below.

How Shipping Is Priced

Shipping is calculated from two things: your delivery location and the number of units in your order. Because PTACs move as freight, combining units into a single order is usually the most cost-effective way to ship.

Freight Delivery: What to Expect

PTAC units ship as freight rather than small parcel, so delivery works a little differently from a typical online order:

Your unit travels on a pallet with a freight carrier.
Any delivery date we provide is an estimate only and is not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other events outside our control.

Inspect Your Delivery Before You Sign

This is the most important step. Freight damage has to be documented at the moment of delivery, so please:

Inspect first. Check the packaging and the unit for visible damage before you sign the carrier's delivery receipt or bill of lading.
Note it in writing. If you see any damage, write it on the delivery receipt and photograph the packaging and unit before the driver leaves.
Report within 48 hours. Email orders@ptacrefurb.com with your photos and order number.

Why it matters: if visible damage is not noted at delivery, our ability to recover from the carrier may be limited, which can affect your claim.

Damaged or Incorrect Shipments

If your unit arrives damaged and you report it as above, or we ship the wrong item, we will make it right. At our discretion we will repair it, replace it with a comparable refurbished unit, or refund it, and we will cover the related freight.

Local Pickup

If you are local to our Middlesboro, Kentucky facility, you are welcome to pick up your order in person. Please inspect the unit with us at pickup; the return window and conditions run from the pickup date.
